Intuit QuickBooks Mobile Apps - Frequently asked questions

Important for iPhone / iPad users: iOS 7 or later is required to run version 3.x of the app! 

There are two different QuickBooks mobile apps:

  • QuickBooks Online (use this version with QuickBooks Online for the web)
  • QuickBooks for Windows - Mobile Companion (use this version with QuickBooks Windows on your desktop)

 

Both apps run on iOS (iPhone, iPad, iPod touch) and Android (phone and tablet) devices.

Important for QuickBooks Windows users:

  • As of July 31, 2013, we’ll no longer support QuickBooks Mobile version 1.9 or earlier. If you’re currently using version 1.9 or earlier, and get a refresh error when you preview or email a transaction, we strongly suggest you upgrade to the new QuickBooks for Windows – Mobile Companion app. You can download it from the iTunes App Store: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/quickbooks-for-windows-mobile/id626431593?mt=8
  • The Windows app is compatible with QuickBooks Pro, QuickBooks Premier, and QuickBooks Enterprise 2011 and later.
  • You must have a QuickBooks for Windows mobile subscription to use the mobile app.
