Removing Gross Profit Line on Profit and Loss (P&L)

If you run a company that doesn't use or track Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) is it possible to get rid of the gross profit line and just show total income?
Solution Description
  1. Open the Chart of Accounts.
  2. Make sure the Include Inactive check mark is checked.
  3. Right click on the unused COGS account and select Delete.
  4. Repeat for any other unused COGS accounts there may be.
  5. The P&L will now just show Total Income.
Note: You can only delete an account that doesn't have any transactions associated with it.
