Intuit recommends 2 solutions for this problem. The first solution may solve your problem, or you may need to try both to resolve the issue. For best results, perform the solutions in the order shown.
Solution 1: Open the files in the order you prefer.
Company files appear in the list with the most recently opened first. To move a company file to the top of the list, simply open it in QuickBooks.
Solution 2: Edit the list manually.
QuickBooks Pro Plus, QuickBooks Premier Plus, and QuickBooks Accountant Plus 2011 R7 and newer versions allow the list to be edited in QuickBooks.
