Adjusting the Alignment on a Check using QuickBooks for Mac

When checks, the printed information does not align properly with the check fields.
You can adjust the check print alignment within QuickBooks.
Solution Description

Solution Details

  • In QuickBooks Pro 2009 and prior:
    1. Open the File menu, and go to Printer Setup, and select Checks.
    2. In the Check Print Setup window, click the Align button.
    3. Select the check style that corresponds with the style of check(s) to which you are printing.
    4. Enter the Vertical Offset and Horizontal Offset.
      Note: This will adjust the check alignment in 1/100 inch increments.
  • In QuickBooks Pro 2010 and later:
    1. Open the File menu, and go to Print Forms and select Checks.
    2. In the Print Checks window, select the checks to be printed, and click Print.
    3. In the next window, select the Alignment tab.
    4. Enter in the value for X (horizontal alignment) and Y (vertical alignment).
      Note: This will adjust the check alignment in 1/100 inch increments.
