To print a form to a file, such as an invoice, check or report, you must first set up a printer to print to file.
Windows 7 or Vista:
Set print to file as the default:
After a Generic/Text Only printer is set up on the system to print to file, you can make it the default printer for checks or other types of forms in QuickBooks.
Print an individual job as a file:
You can also print to file on a case-by-case basis, without making that the default setting.
