This article describes how to locate the QuickBooks Online Backup
activity log.

Detailed Instructions
| To locate and open the activity log named
OnlineBackup.LOG, please follow these steps: In Windows XP: - On the Desktop, right-click My
Computer and left-click Explore.
- Select the C: drive and then select
Documents and Settings >
[UserName] > Application Data
> Online Backup. (The UserName will be the
current windows User).
- Double-click the OnlineBackup.LOG in the
window on the right side. . Note: if prompted to
select a program, choose Notepad.
In Windows Vista: - Click the Start button and then, right-click
Computer and then select
Explore.
- Double-click the C: drive.
- Double-click Users.
- Double-click the logged in user name, and then double-click
AppData.
- Double-click on Local and then double-click
Online Backup.
- Double-click the OnlineBackup.LOG to open the
file. . Note: If prompted to select a program,
choose Notepad.
Note: The text of the log file can be selected
(highlighted) and copied (Ctrl+C). |
