Restoring Online Backup files to multiple computers using Web Restore

Overview

Web Restore allows you to restore your backup files using Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.(x) and newer. web restore, . With Web Restore, you can access only the last backup performed.

 If you need to restore an earlier backup, you'll need to use the installed QuickBooks Online Backup program.

You'll be able to restore your data to multiple computers, but you'll only be able to backup any modified data by using another Online Backup account on the computer where you restored the data.

Note: Web Restore is not intended as a file sharing service.

Detailed Instructions

To restore your Online Backup files using Web Restore:

  1. Go to the QuickBooks Online Backup Login page.
  2. Enter your Account ID and Password and click the Web Restore button.
  3. If prompted, install the ActiveX control.
  4. Follow the online instructions and locate the file or folder that you want to restore.
  5. Select the destination to restore.

Note: If you are using Windows Vista we recommend you create a folder on the desktop and restore your backup to this folder.  Choosing not to do so could result in the Error LA2266.

  1. Click Restore.
