Use the MS-DOS Ping command to test connectivity:
- Select the Microsoft Windows Start menu and select Programs > Accessories > Command Prompt.
- In the Command Prompt window, enter the following: ping r2redirector.atbackup.com.
- If unsuccessful, enter the following IP address: ping 66.77.178.52.
If the IP address displays Ping statistics but the text string does not, this indicates a conflict with the ISP on the system or with a network firewall.
The conflict may involve Port 16841:
- On home systems, the ISP provider may have Port 16841 blocked. . Please contact your ISP provider to identify if the port is blocked by the ISP software.
- On networked systems using firewall software, ensure that Port 16841 is open prior to installing QuickBooks Online Backup software.
