Online Banking Not Showing Transactions When Matching to Existing QuickBooks Transactions

Issue 1:
After downloading online banking transactions they are showing up as Unmatched even though the transactions exist in the check register.
 
Issue 2:
After downloading online banking transactions and clicking on "More Matching Options" the "Unmatched transactions in QuickBooks" window does not populate the windows with transactions from QuickBooks.
 
Solution Description
To Resolve this issue:
 
1. From the List menu, select Chart of Accounts -> Verify that the Bank Account has the Lightning Bolt beside it.
  • If the lightning bolt is not beside the bank account try to enable online banking for the account -> If the bank account does not complete the online banking setup try Step 2.
2. At the bottom of the Chart of Accounts -> Place a checkmark beside the Include Inactive option.
  • Look to see if there is another bank account that is setup for Online Banking that is going to the same Financial Institution.
  • Disable the online banking for the Inactive Bank Account. -> See section labeled "How to Disable Online Banking" below for your version of QuickBooks.

3. Setup the active bank account for Online Banking.

  • Download the online banking transactions.
  • This should now allow for the transactions in the check register to match with the transactions that were downloaded from the bank.
How to Disable Online Banking in QuickBooks 2008 and later:
  
1. From the List menu, select Chart of Accounts -> Right click on the Bank Account in question -> Click on Edit Account.
2. Click on the Online Services tab.
3. Select the Deactivate All Online Services radio button.
4. Click Save & Close.
