Intuit Statement Writer (ISW) is available only as an add-on to QuickBooks Premier Accountants Edition 2009, 2010, 2011,2012 and 2013 or Enterprise Accountants Edition 9.0, 10.0, 11.0,12.0 and 13.0.
ISW is called the QuickBooks Statement Writer in Accountant Editions of 2012 and later. Thus, it shares the system requirements of those programs.
In addition, ISW is only compatible with Microsoft Office Excel 2010 (32-bit installation), MS Excel 2007 (all versions) and certain versions of MS Excel 2003 (MS Excel 2003 is in QuickBooks 2011 and Prior), as described in the following sections.
QuickBooks 2013 and 2014 are not compatible with ANY version of Microsoft Excel 2003
QuickBooks Premier Accountants Edition 2014 and Enterprise 14.0:
Compatible with Windows versions 8,7, Vista and XP.

QSW for 2013 is compatible with Microsoft Excel 2010 (32-bit), Excel 2007
QSW for 2012 is compatible with Excel 2007, and Excel 2003 if included with Microsoft Office Professional. (see below)
ISW for 2011 is compatible with Microsoft Excel 2010 (32-bit), Excel 2007, and some versions of Excel 2003 if included with Microsoft Office Professional (see below).
ISW for 2010 and 2009 is compatible with Excel 2007, and Excel 2003 if included with Microsoft Office Professional. (see below)
