Reinstall the QuickBooks PDF Converter

You can reinstall the QuickBooks PDF Converter by adding a printer and selecting the .inf file located within QuickBooks Program Files.

Detailed instructions
  1. Open the Printers window
    1. Click Start
    2. Click Devices and Printers
  2. Click Add a printer
  3. Select Local printer
  4. Ensure that Automatically detect and install my Plug and Play printer is not selected
  5. Click Next
  6. Select Create a new port, click Next
  7. Enter PDF1, click OK
  8. Click Have Disk...
  9. Click Browse...
  10. Browse to:
    • Windows non-64-bit: C:\Program Files\Intuit\QuickBooks 20XX (XX is your year of QuickBooks)
    • Windows 64-bit: C:\Program Files (x86)\Intuit\QuickBooks 20XX (XX is your year of QuickBooks)
  11. Select the file called amyuni.inf, click Open, click OK
  12. Click Next
  13. Select Replace existing driver, click Next
  14. Rename the driver according to your version and release:
    • QuickBooks PDF Converter: QuickBooks 2007, 2008, 2009 R1-R8, 2009 R11
    • QuickBooks PDF Converter 2.0: QuickBooks 2010 R1-R2, QuickBooks 2010 R6 and above
    • QuickBooks PDF Converter 3.0: QuickBooks 2009 R9-R10, QuickBooks 2010 R3-R5
  15. Select No for default printer (this should not be the default), click Next
  16. Select Do not share this printer, click Next
  17. When prompted to print a test page, select No
  18. Click Next
  19. Click Finish
